EBCI to promote e-literacy

In the initial version of this article reference was made to the fact that in Ireland students taking EBCI courses could combine these courses with the ECDL to obtain a European IT certificate. The European Computer Driving Licence Foundation have drawn our attention to the fact that this statement was incorrect and informed us that they have no association whatsoever with EBCI. We are satisfied that this is so and we are happy to clarify that there is no association between EBCI and ECDL.

EVTC buys failed VOIP service provider

Subsequent to writing this article, ElectricNews.Net has learned that EVTC did not complete a purchase of Lipstream Networks. It is understood that the two companies were in discussions and that the terms and details of the agreement were in fact arranged. Following to EVTC's November announcement of the acquisition however, Gary Keefe, EVTC's chief executive officer, has informed ElectricNews.Net that the deal was cancelled.

IntraFish Ltd. is/was a service company 100% owned subsidary for IntraFish AS which, in turn, owns two companies (with different ownership structures reflecting their occupation): IntraFish Media AS and IntraFish Internat AS.
